3D thinking

Easy to be caught
in the easiest modes
looking at a flat world
2D a left/right or up/down
lacking in depth
supplied by 3D
a revelation of energy
extending everything
making concepts
more substantial
and real.

Re: 3D thinking

I have a 3D tv but I'd much prefer the good ole 2D tv, I guess I'm old fashion.  Don't get me wrong 3D has its benefits, but everyone has their own preferences.

Re: 3D thinking

Hi Zantos.  Yes, I have myself put together a home movie projection system with a 120-inch screen.  That's where I really discovered the benefit of 3D when the viewing becomes not just a picture of something but a window looking through at the real thing when it takes up the full field of viewing!  Amazing... but not appropriate to all stories, for sure.

And, when we think about it, "3D viewing" is the way our two eyes work with our brain in real life.  So if we can somehow extend it into our writings etc. we can connect things that normally would be separated---much like your excellent poetry to brings together so many seemingly incongrous things: like smelling colors or feeling concepts, etc. that you do so well!

Thanks for the reply!
