Selective viewing or acknowledgement
so easily culls unwanted incovenient data
allowing a clear field to self-congratulation
towering pillars of self-serving conclusions
regardless of any unagreable facts
Versus starting from the real state of things
having goals but driven by data
able to shift the conclusions as needed
to best achieve a true overwhelming AIM
maybe not as much delusional fun
but also not as sad.

Throw a blanket over selective viewing and try to walk a straight path.......it can be down right difficult at times, but if you know where you are going then it becomes just a little easier to do.

Well said, Zantos. Without AIM we often not only drift but go in circles, achieving nothing by even our most heroic efforts!
Thanks for your insightful reply.

Justification is easy for us to make up for giving up or not continuing. There are always negatives about anything.

It just underlines the difficulty with evaluating ourselves. And yet that's what we are mostly left with. It is hard, but necessary---justified as long as we continuing update while allowing for new information.
