Key question of starting Facilitation, especially to an official religious leader:

"What do you want?"

Very simple and straightforward.  After determining what the person really wants, then further questions can gently unearth the problems & opportunities, such as: "How are you attempting to get this that you want?" and "How's it working out?" and "How might you attempt to improve on what you're already doing?" and "What do your targetted customers want?" etc.
