True Teams can be a great and powerful tool for accomplishing many worthy objectives. But people thrown in a room and told to be a "team" are not a True Team. True Teams require: 1) facilitation, 2) strong support by management, 3) provided resources, 4) a clear mandate, 5) team leader training, 6) team member training, and 7) proper size & constitution. If Godly Quality Management can provide those items, they can launch very powerful and creative teams for accomplishing the organization's goals.

True Teams also are very enjoyable for all involved, use people's talents, and provide the means for self-development. They make "work" fun, fulfilling, and productive. Of course they are for purposes where several people or different talents are needed to accomplish a specific task. Where people can do things well on their own, they're not needed. But where I must engage with others on an ongoing basis, it can transform painful conflict into productive synergism.

True teams can be natural work groups, when everything "gells." But that's rare. Usually they need the elements described above to succeed.
